Self Care Saturday!
•Take a walk - put baby in the carrier or the stroller and get out for a short walk today. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day in Seattle! It’s going to be cold though so make sure you and baby bundle up.
•Positive Self Talk - you’re doing amazing, remind yourself.
•Reflect on being a new parent - journal or talk with your partner about how this new chapter has effected you.
•Call your best friend - just to talk. When’s the last time you did that? Set aside some time today for a quick phone call.
•Take a nap - easier said than done I know, but if you can get a nap in today you’ll thank yourself for it later.
•Get crafty - something as simple as throwing paint on a canvas or doodling works for me, but find something that works for you!
And finally
✨Ask for help, or space - As new parents you often feel like you’re alone in this and you must handle everything alone. This is not true at all reach out to your parents, your friends, a postpartum doula or a nanny. This can take some pressure off of you and allow you to care for yourself. On the contrary if family and friends are constantly stopping by and it’s overwhelming, ask them for a break and explain you just want to enjoy your space and your family for a couple days.

Day 2 of our Baby Wearing series!
Today we look at Soft Structured Carrier (SSC) aka Buckle Carrier. This can be a great option if you have multiple caregivers in the home. While these carriers can be pricey, they tend to last longer and are able to be utilized longer than other carriers.
