A friend of mine in Stephenville Tx, Adelita Tyson has certainly had a change in her routine the past 4 days. Late Tuesday afternoon, her brood mare gave birth to a healthy little filly. Drama free there- but the mare wasn't expelling her placenta very well. After a phone call to the veterinarian, the appropriate measures were taken to treat the problem. Nothing could have prepared Adelita for what was to come next. Heading down to the barn early the following morning , instead of being greeted happily by mare and baby. It was pure silence , a ghostly feel. The mare was dead and the little one was just laying beside her. Pools of blood indicated a far more serious event occurred. The veterinary exam revealed a slight tear in the uterus and a ruptured artery. So just one of those freak occurrences that you only read about.. Now the questions began- "what to do" Everything fell into place quickly, the baby was given the appropriate formula , and for 3 days at 2 hour intervals, she had her feedings via a human baby's bottle at first . Then switched to an animal nursing bottle. That idea she wasn't very fond of to begin with.. She much preferred the shape of the human bottle.

Fiona . Great little youth mare for sale.. She does all the peewee speed events and is also an excellent riding horse, to gather cattle or just go play on.. No vices or bad habits. Razzi, her owner is just moving up the scale in competition. $2500- would consider trades for a horse that is TOO much for you.. But we won't be taking any junk or cripples..
