The Lazy Wanderers RV
Well it's been a crazy week. First we were at a wonderful campground called Legacy Longhorn Resort, in Weatherford TX. It fairly new. all the pads are cement and level, they have Marine grade power pedestal's and the bath/shower are magnificent. The heated pool is nice as well.
Anyway, as we were leaving, we stopped at the dumpster and our flat tow hitch broke. The Colorado hit the back of the coach. Thank God that didn't happen at 60mph. So Barbie had to drive the Colorado and I drove the coach. We are both Ham operators so we had excellent radio communications between us. BUT the day go worse.
A couple days later I pulled into a COE campground, Willow Beach, and I managed to clip metal box and tore part of the back corner panel off. It wasn't terrible, but it took me a an hour or so to straighten that stupid move out.
Anyway we made it to my buddies house in Tennessee and we ordered a new Ready Brute II tow bar. My buddy knows a parts store owner, so he ordered a Blue Ox hitch with a ten inch drop.
Back on the road today, headed north to the frozen north Michigan ( not the UP ) for our workamper gig

So on the 24th we visited the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. Specifically we went to see the "Raptor Free Flight" demonstration. These birds are exclusive to the south western desert. They are "untethered" with no leg straps and no collars. if they decide to take off, there is nothing holding them, and no way to recall them.
We saw a great horned owl, a family of Harris hawks, and a Caracaras. They also have a Red tail hawk and a couple Ravens, but due to Veterinary visits and weather, they don't let all of them fly. ENJOY
