Yesterday, at the 3rd Grade Moving Up Ceremony in Yulupa's MPR, our amazing music teacher, Mr. Steinberg, directed the kids in an original song about their upcoming move to Strawberry Elementary. It was a really lovely and special way to mark the "big kid" transition.
Mr, Steinberg is moving on, too – into retirement! We're sad to see him hang up his baton, but we're incredibly grateful for the wonderful work he has done for BVUSD these last couple of years. As the song puts it, we hope "in this community, [he] will stay."

This year, BVEF raised $113,000 because of *your* generosity and community spirit. That money directly funds a range of educational and enrichment opportunities for our BVUSD students. 🙏

♟️☕️ This coming Saturday, May 16, Strawberry Elementary hosts the Chess Club for Kids tournament. Parents – we see you! You're about to spend all day Saturday on campus cheering on your little grandmasters, and you're going to need reinforcements. Good news: BVEF has called in backup.
The wonderful Flutter Coffee Co is setting up shop on campus — all day — serving up coffee, hot chocolate, and fresh baked goods to keep you fueled through every move and countermove.
The best part? A percentage of Flutter's sales goes directly to BVEF's arts programs at our schools. Every latte is basically a donation. You're basically an arts education hero. See you Saturday. ♟️☕️🎨
