This is what Big Ag does when voters choose compassion.

California passed Proposition 12 to give animals the most basic protections: enough room to turn around, lie down, and stretch.

Now an industry-linked PR campaign is trying to gut it through the Farm Bill.

Let’s be clear.

This is not about “freedom.”
This is not about “farmers.”
This is about protecting a system that profits from extreme confinement.

Pigs, calves, and chickens should not spend their lives trapped in cages so small they cannot move like living beings.

Prop 12 matters.
State animal welfare laws matter.
The will of voters matters.

This is what happens when the legal system treats animal suffering like a technicality.

Animal advocates challenged USDA slaughterhouse inspection rules that put more power in the hands of slaughterhouse employees, including decisions about which pigs move toward slaughter.

The court did not say pigs are safe.

It did not say the system is humane.

It said the groups lacked standing.

Meanwhile, pigs remain trapped inside a system built for speed, profit, and silence.

No animal should be rushed through a slaughter line. No private company should get more control over life-and-death decisions. No court ruling should stop us from demanding better.

Comment “PROTECT PIGS” if you believe slaughterhouse oversight should be stronger, not weaker.

Another horse is dead in New York City.

His name was Deniz.

He was 16 years old. He collapsed in Central Park while pulling a carriage with passengers.

How many more horses have to die before city leaders act?

Ryder. Lady. Aisha. Charlie. Smoothie. Now Deniz.

These horses are not tourist props. They are living beings forced to work in traffic, heat, noise, and stress until their bodies give out.

Ryder’s Law would phase out horse-drawn carriages, retire the horses to accredited sanctuaries, and create a transition plan for carriage workers.

This is the humane path forward.

They were never lab equipment.

They were dogs.

Dogs who wanted sunlight.
Dogs who wanted soft beds.
Dogs who wanted a name, a family, and a life beyond a cage.

This mini documentary exposes the decade-long fight to free thousands of beagles from a testing site. It is heartbreaking. It is infuriating. And it is not over.

Activists say hundreds more still need to be saved.
