As some of you may know my little Transit Connect was rear ended and totaled….I needed a replacement and decided it was time to try out a turbo diesel! After hours of reading I realized I didn’t want DPF or DEF so I landed on this 2006 Sprinter 2500 140WB. I’m the second owner and it’s got low miles for its age but that’s not to say it’s perfect…
I decided to go all in and replace everything I could/should which included: water pump, all coolant hoses, all charge piping, turbo resonator upgrade, oil change, coolant flush, glow plug control module and a bunch of other odds and of course had to get it on rubitreks! I’ve got all new door hardware to get the rear and sliding doors operating as they should. The end goal is to have a video production van that we can also sleep in if we need to but it’s not going to be a camper van. I still need to carry bikes, dirt bikes and lots of camera gear so it’ll be an interesting build when it’s all said and done 🚐
