What if one of the simplest ways to support childhood anxiety has been around the whole time? 🌿
More time outdoors may do more than help kids burn energy.
Research suggests it supports emotional well-being, calmer nervous systems, and lower signs of anxiety over time.
In this carousel, we break down what one large study found about kids, nature, and emotional health, and why outdoor time matters more than ever.
🌱 Swipe through to learn:
• What a study of nearly 70,000 children discovered
• Why outdoor time helps kids regulate emotions
• What this means for children growing up in a screen-filled world
Sometimes, calm does not come from adding more.
Sometimes, it starts with slowing down, stepping outside, and letting kids reconnect with nature.

Children grow differently when they are given space to simply be 🌿
To roam.
To wonder.
To get curious.
To play without rushing toward an outcome.
When we slow down and meet kids where they are, something beautiful happens.
Confidence grows.
Calm settles in.
Connection deepens.
Nature reminds us that growth does not need to be forced.
We are not here to control every step.
We are here to support the journey, one muddy shoe, deep breath, and little discovery at a time. 🍃
🌿 Growing wild, grounded, and connected with nature
The struggle families are feeling right now is real. 🌿
Here's something many parents already know deep down, kids are overwhelmed.
Too much stimulation.
Too many screens.
Not enough rest, regulation, or real tools to navigate hard moments.
And for many low-income families in Santa Barbara, the challenge runs even deeper.
Parents are working multiple jobs.
Screens become the only available support.
And kids are left carrying stress without the tools to process it.
At Nature Rangers, we are working to change that.
Through research-backed wilderness programs, kids build something that lasts far beyond summer:
🌿 Emotional regulation
🌿 Resilience
🌿 Confidence
🌿 Real-life tools for hard moments
Right now, we need $20,000 more to serve 45 kids this summer, and every contribution helps keep these doors open.
If this struggle feels familiar, or reminds you of a child who needs support, please consider helping today.
🌿 Every donation goes directly to kids
🌿 Fully tax deductible through our 501(c)(3)
🌿 Any amount makes a difference

We are close, but these kids are still counting on us. 🌿
Here's s an honest update on where things stand and why this moment matters so much for the families we serve.
So far, we have raised $3,000, but we still need $20,000 to fully fund 50 scholarship spots for kids this summer.
These are real children.
Real families.
Families counting on a safe place where their kids can grow, regulate, and reconnect.
Many parents know the struggle.
The screen battles.
The anxiety.
The feeling that no matter how hard you try, something still feels missing.
Now imagine navigating all of that without access to summer programs, enrichment, or support.
For many of the low-income families we serve, screens become the only affordable option. But we believe kids deserve something more.
At Nature Rangers, children build confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and real-life skills through meaningful experiences in nature.
And we are so close to making this summer possible.
🌿 Every donation goes directly to scholarship spots
🌿 Fully tax deductible through our 501(c)(3)
🌿 Every amount matters, whether it is $25, $50, or more
