A warm and inviting mural wallpaper in the entry sets the tone for the texture and color story that flows through the adjacent spaces. Whitewashing the original dark redwood instantly brightens the space while preserving the grain and solid construction of these beautiful old timbers, honoring the home’s history.

In the dining room, we transformed a narrow, unsightly display into a functional cabinet with placemat storage inside the doors. By bumping out the frame from the wall and adding tall cabinet doors on a recessed plinth, we created the illusion of depth, enhancing the room's height. The “boomerang” accent details add interest and texture, blending mid-century modern elements with the original Tudor architecture.

We upgraded the base trim to match the home’s newer modern details and painted the walls a steely blue, complemented by a lighter mushroom beige ceiling to harmonize with the living room. The beefed-up, softly rounded trim where the ceiling meets the walls enhances the airy ambiance of this dining room and connects seamlessly to the renovated space beyond.

She's hosting a coronation event within her rustic yet regal estate, and we were tasked with the honor of designing her formal ballroom.
