Blue Fx Records compilation series Auris Artem is back with installment number two. In 2023, the New England based indie label created a compilation sampler album consisting of artists from the roster, and guest artists, as a shared promotional release. Continuing the bi-annual series in 2025, Blue Fx Records again reached out to bands and artists to join the compilation along with the BFX artists who have new music coming out this year!
Opening and closing AAII is the Santa Monica CA band Hello Echo. Hello Echo contributed two tracks for the compilation. The opener, "Pop Death" which is the first new song the band has released in 10 years, highlights what is to come from the band this year. Hello Echo also closes out the album with a previously unreleased track going back to 2007, during the origin days of the band. This single "We Have Ourselves" will be part of retrospective EP the band plans on self releasing this year.
Following 'Echo comes Boston's Pariah Jones with a newly remastered version of "Where the Coyote Girls Go" featuring Australian saxophonist Martin Case.
Another guest artist, Robotic Hawks, from Hudson NH adds to the mix with their power punk trio pop song Further, from their High Maintenance EP. We're super stoked to have Robotic Hawks on the album as they are rising stars in the Boston music scene. Check em out live if you live in the area.
Mister Vertigo, a Northern MA/ Southern NH rock band and staple of the Boston/Merrimac Valley has offered up two songs for the compilation as well. Track 4, "I'm Alone" and Track 11, "Bootprints -Alt mix" are both special jams from the band and we're grateful they've decided to share them with you through this album!
BFX artist McKenna is back in 2025 with a new single "The Deal" for the compilation and potentially a new EP for the upcoming year.
The Sterns76 - the punk rock project originally from Lawrence MA and now in the capable hands of front man Eric R. bring us this recently finished new gem of a song "Maudslay" which was completed in the mountains of NH right before the deadline....phewww.
Bird Shadows is an instrumental cinematic project that just recently joined the label. More music in the works and will hopefully blossom into an album or an EP this year.
Shades of Mood - last year saw the 30th anniversary re-release of the first self titled album from the moody duo of the Merrimac Valley. This year in 2025 the 30th anniversary of the follow up album "Descending" is expected to be released with a brand new remastering. This short track "Such a Burden" is from that collection.
Ian James - when the album 2024 came out last year with a new single every month, Ian had plenty of left over material and released eight bonus songs with the album exclusively here on bandcamp. One of those bonus tracks "Jinx" appears here as Ian is busy preparing new music for 2025.
Finally a very special treat, father and son duo Mike and Jonas Langley of Sioux City Iowa come together to bring us "Welcome to Forever" a track from an album of the same title they produced in 2024. Mike released a solo album with us a couple years back and we're thrilled to have him and Jonas with us again, keeping their legacy as a musical family ongoing!
