Happy to all who celebrate and a wake up call to those who don’t 😅 This day always serves as a reminder as to what sports have really meant to me and how it’s shaped me into who I am today. Every step along the journey from testing out gymnastics (and being horrible) to becoming a professional softball player has taught me lessons to better prepare me for everything life throws at you. It’s been the honor of a lifetime having the chance to impact the next generation through being an athlete and it gives me so much joy to continue to have that opportunity as a coach. We got to start the celebrations yesterday at — where I got to add my name to the wall of professional athletes to visit the bar. We met with numerous Gustavus alumni/supporters to kick off our give like a champion campaign. This girls and women in sports day I have one ask- donate back to the places/people who helped build you, donate to teams you support, support bars/restaurants/business/leagues owned and operated by women, the more little girls see- the more they believe. In order to see it, we must invest in it- no donation is too little, no share is irrelevant. I never could’ve dreamt being where I am today and I hope more than ever my daughter gets a chance to chase her dreams.
