I had the honor of attending two Memorial Day events this Monday, one in Steele County and another in Waseca County. Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of the ultimate sacrifice that brave men and women make for this nation and our freedom. I appreciate the opportunity to reflect on this in our local communities. Thank you to everyone who helped facilitate these great events, and thank you to the many heroes we have lost in service to our country.

Happy Memorial Day. I am very grateful for the brave Americans who sacrificed everything for our country, including the fallen soldiers that I served alongside. I am thinking of the many soldiers, their friends, and loved ones today.

Now that the 2026 legislative session has officially concluded, I want to give a few shoutouts to local projects that will receive funding through bills that passed this session:

Congratulations to the City of Medford for garnering $400,000.00 in cash bonding for the replacement Medford Fire Station.

Congratulations to the City of Waseca for garnering general obligation bonding in the amount of $8.9M in for Sanitary Sewer Infrastructure and $1.0M for a land acquisition, predesign, and design of a new Water Tower.

Senator Jasinski and I are happy to fight for these projects for our communities!
