Justice For Courtney

On November 19, 2023, the charred remains of the 2017 Volkswagen Jetta connected to Courtney Lynne Townsend's disappearance were reported to authorities.

More than two years later, our family is still left with questions.

We have repeatedly been told that there was no foul play involved and that the working theory is that Courtney may have burned the vehicle to stay warm, left the area, succumbed to the elements, and that wildlife later scattered her remains.

As Courtney's family, we struggle to reconcile that theory with the evidence and circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

One question that continues to bother us concerns a Fortnite keychain that was photographed hanging from the rearview mirror after the burned vehicle was located.

If the vehicle was consumed by a fire intense enough to leave it heavily damaged and charred, how did that keychain remain hanging from the mirror?

Was it present before the fire?

Was it somehow protected from the heat?

Was it placed there afterward?

We do not know the answer, but it is a question that deserves an explanation.

We also have broader questions:

How often are burned vehicles discovered in Kane County under similar circumstances?
What evidence specifically supports the conclusion that no foul play occurred?
Were all possible investigative avenues fully explored?
Are there witnesses who have never come forward?
Is there information someone dismissed at the time that may now be important?

We are not claiming to have all the answers.

We are saying that we still have questions.

Courtney was a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a human being whose life mattered. Our family continues to seek truth, accountability, and transparency.

As many of you know, there have been no significant updates in my sister Courtney Lynne Townsend's case. Our family continues to search for answers, and we refuse to let her story be forgotten.

Courtney disappeared on November 16, 2023. Since then, our family has endured unimaginable heartbreak, unanswered questions, and a painful lack of closure. We believe there are people who know something about what happened to Courtney. Even the smallest detail could be the missing piece that helps bring justice.

We are currently working on creating a podcast dedicated to Courtney's case. Our goal is to present the timeline, discuss the known facts, address questions from the community, and keep attention focused on finding the truth. We want to answer your questions and hear your thoughts because the community has been one of our greatest sources of support.

We are asking the citizens of Southern Utah and beyond for help.

Did you see Courtney in the days leading up to her disappearance?

Did you see anything unusual near Duck Creek, Cedar City, Hurricane, Kanab, or any of the locations connected to her case?

Have you heard information that you have never reported because you weren't sure it was important?

Our family has serious concerns about individuals connected to Courtney's life prior to her disappearance, and we believe all leads deserve to be thoroughly investigated. We are not asking anyone to make assumptions or accusations. We are asking people to share facts, observations, and information that could help investigators uncover the truth.

As I’m getting ready to go live in the next week or two, Im thinking about how many of you have been right here with us through all of this. Not just following along—but feeling it with us, carrying it with us, caring about Courtney like she’s your own.

Because of that, I don’t want this live to just be me talking at you. I want it to be something we do together.

I know there are a ton of questions. I have them too. We all do. And I want to open that space up—for real conversation, for whatever we’re all holding onto. In a way that will make Courtney proud..

So I’m asking all of our FB family… what do you want to know? What’s been on your mind?

I’ve been thinking alot lately… I always feel like I need to do something more. Not just post updates, but actually sit down and talk with all of you in real time.

Nothing fancy, nothing scripted… just me, talking about Courtney, where things are at, what we know, what we don’t, and honestly just letting it all out. I want it to be a space where we can all come together, ask questions, share thoughts, and just be real about everything.

I just want to say thank you. Truly. To every single person who has shared a post, reached out, checked in, said a prayer, or even just kept Courtney in your thoughts—you have no idea how much that means to me and our family. On the hardest days, it’s your support that reminds us we’re not alone in this.

I know so many of you have questions about what happened. I see them, I hear them, and I feel that same frustration every single day. I do my best to keep this page updated with everything I can, but the truth is… we’re still searching for answers too. We have the same questions—probably even more—and that’s one of the hardest parts of all of this.

This case has been incredibly difficult, and there are still so many missing pieces. I hate not having answers for you. I hate not having answers for her. But please know this—I am trying. Every single day, I am trying.

Does anyone know of someone who drives and older beatup Nissan truck, it has a camper and the colors are red with gray, or gray with red.. We have new evidence to believe that whoever drove that truck was in duck creek at the same time as Courtney and he was actively searching for her. One theory is that she was being chased by someone in the above described truck, which is why she ended up high centered on rocks and what if the guy chasing her is the one who murdered her???
