STILL NEED ST. FRANCIS HOUSE DINNER FOR SEPT. 11:
With 2 weeks away, we still need a volunteer to help with our Sept. 11 dinner, if you can help, we'd be blessed to have you step in for this crucial need! We make 40 servings of any dinner, with main course, any side, to drop off at the facility by 4:30 pm, at 70 Washington Street. Many thanks and blessings to Faye Lekas Peterson and Gary, for the indispensable help getting the kitchen opened yesterday for the first time in quite awhile for us. I led a prayer for families, we served 40 dinners. Roasted, very tender chicken came from Dianne Christakos. We also served with green beans and rice, and dessert. Everyone loved the food, especially the chicken. Many thanks to Maria, the kitchen manager, who remembered us from earlier dinners.
