MAGA extremists and conservative judges are threatening women’s right to make health care decisions about their own bodies. As your assemblymember, I’ve fought back and helped enshrine abortion access into the California Constitution. That’s why I’m the only candidate in this race endorsed by Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to represent Assembly District 23, and I’m proud of my legislative accomplishments that are defending reproductive rights, giving youth the skills they need to succeed in an online world, protecting our democracy, and transitioning our state to a more sustainable future. On this 3rd anniversary of the Jan 6th insurrection, the greatest attack on our democracy since the Civil War, I’m proud of the efforts I’ve led to strengthen and expand access to our democracy in California, including:

1: making California a permanent vote-by-mail state
2: creating the first-in-the-nation state Office of Elections Cybersecurity
3: write landmark legislation to regulate the use of deepfake / AI technology in elections…in 2019! I’ll be following that up with tougher legislation this year
4: make it easier for CA college students to vote by having a vote-by-mail ballot drop box on campus
5: make it a crime to intentionally lie about the time, place, and manner of voting with the intent to disenfranchise Californians.

Those are just a few of the efforts I’ve led, and the work continues to make sure California has the most secure, most accessible elections in the country. 🗳️🇺🇸

At a time when California is being decimated by the impacts of climate change, the last thing we should be doing is enacting policies that make it harder to achieve the climate goals we’re already falling behind on.
