On the one hand the trucking job is fascinating as you earn money in your office overlooking the whole country. And on the other — sitting in the same pose for hours is quite harmful for your health. For instance, truckers have a high risk of getting spinal diseases or obesity. That’s why you should consider taking care of your physical health every time getting behind the wheel. And the simplest measure you can take is to follow a healthy diet. In this article RVS will explain how.
What to eat for breakfast? Well, definitely not noodles or anything else congaing fast carbohydrates which quickly turn into fats and leave you hungry within 20-30 minutes. The best breakfast options would be products containing slow carbohydrates like oatmeal or whole wheat toasts. The other healthy choice would be protein-containing food like hard-boiled eggs or cottage cheese.
The best pick for lunch would be a soup or a meat stew. Wholesome addition to the lunch is a side dish of vegetables and durum wheat pasta or buckwheat. Lunch should be saturating and nourishing, but always remember to care about things you eat too. Fried food, for instance, poses a great threat to your heart and blood vessels.
If you are used to the late dinner, keep in mind that your stomach shouldn't be overloaded before the sleep time. So, replacing fatty meals with a relatively light snack would be right. It could be a whole-wheat turkey wrap, a chicken salad or a veggie sandwich. If your stomach could talk, it would say “Thank you” in the morning after such a dinner!
Finally, we all just love to have a small snack during a long drive. Fresh fruits, low-fat string cheese, unsalted mixed nuts, whole-grain crackers or a beef jerky — all of that is much healthier and yummy at the same time!
Enjoy your meal and good luck on the road!

Get 25$ for sharing your daily emotions!
Driving to your work and having driving as your work are two different things – and our drivers are quite aware of that. We are of course talking about the aesthetic aspect of the truck driver’s job: our employees are more than used to the beautiful sights of our great country’s urban, rural and natural landscapes. At the same time, many people barely have an ability to see even a part of it in a lifetime – and that must be changed!
We call every truck driver to take part in sharing the emotions and the romance of the USA roads: RVS announces a photo hunt! We invite everyone who happens to hit the road to imprint picturesque views of our country using smartphone or camera – and then to share the snapchats in the comments below this post. These could be pictures of the surroundings, your vehicle or even yourself while on the road! The best photos will be picked and then published on our Instagram and Facebook. If you succeed, our team will undertake to point your name and reward you with a fee of 25$!
Good luck on the road and don’t forget to reach the camera once in a while :)
