I enjoy a challenge. I really really do. I kinda need it. My mom does crossword puzzles to stay sharp, and I do this.

This tour is a bigger challenge than most cause it’s the first time I’m riding alone. Solo dolo. No DJ, no hype man, no merch guy, no driver. Just me, snacks and some long southwest drives.

I love it though. As a new dad I welcome a moment to be alone with my thoughts (I might have the next 3 album ideas already) but I really miss my family a lot.

I get to the show, set up merch, and then guess what: it kinda feels like a family reunion. I hear songs I remember from a past life, I see people I hadn’t seen in years, and we tell stories and laugh together.
