💚 $5 Friday for ATX Sugar Glider Rescue 💚

It’s $5 Friday, and today we’re asking for something simple that can make a real difference.

If just a handful of people skipped one coffee, one soda, or one fast-food treat and donated $5 instead, it would help us continue providing lifesaving care to the sugar gliders currently depending on us.

Right now, we are caring for multiple gliders with ongoing medical needs:

🩺 Camillio is awaiting test results and will likely need surgery to remove a mass.
🩺 Robin’s tail injury has worsened, with the scab falling off and exposing the very tip of his tail bone.
🩺 Nami is receiving care alongside Robin.
🩺 Pepper needs a specialized MiDog f***l test to ensure the Sarcina bacteria has been completely eliminated.
🩺 Cera needs follow-up bloodwork and another MiDog test.
🩺 Zeek needs a painful dental evaluation.
✂️ We also have several boys waiting for neuters before they can begin the next chapter of their lives in loving homes.

Every single dollar goes directly toward veterinary care, diagnostics, medications, surgeries, food, and supplies for the gliders in our rescue.

Over the next several days, I’ll be sharing individual updates on many of the sugar gliders currently in our care.

I don’t like making posts like this, and I never want to come across as if we’re constantly asking for help. But the reality is that we are in one of the most financially difficult periods we’ve faced in quite some time, and we truly need our community right now.

We currently have multiple gliders with ongoing medical needs, upcoming procedures, and diagnostics that cannot be delayed. At the same time, we still have several gliders waiting to be neutered before they can be adopted into loving homes. The veterinary expenses continue to grow faster than we’re able to replenish our medical fund.

As a foster-based rescue, we don’t have a large operating budget or outside funding. Every vet visit, medication, diagnostic test, surgery, and neuter is made possible through donations and adoption fees. Right now, our medical fund is running dangerously low, and without additional support, we’ll soon have to make incredibly difficult decisions about how quickly we can move forward with care.
