Science depends on a universe that is orderly, consistent, and governed by laws that can be discovered.

God is not the enemy of science. He is the reason science works in the first place.

According to the gap theory, there’s a very long span of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. The world that existed during this gap was destroyed, and God recreated it in the six days described in Genesis. This idea fails because it lacks biblical support and puts death before sin, while Scripture describes death as the consequence for sin.

If evolution were true, it would put death and suffering before Adam's sin, which directly distorts God's character. The Bible teaches that death came through sin, and Jesus died to pay that penalty.
