How can we spot potential victims of human trafficking?

It’s not always obvious—but knowing the signs can make a life-changing difference.

🚨 Warning signs to look for:
• Someone who seems fearful, anxious, or avoids eye contact
• Being controlled by another person (they won’t speak for themselves)
• No access to ID, money, or personal belongings
• Signs of physical abuse or untreated medical issues
• Inconsistent stories about where they live or work
• Working long hours with little or no pay
• Not knowing their location or seeming disoriented
• Someone who appears underage in a sexual situation

🚨 Situational red flags:
• A person is always picked up/dropped off by the same individual
• They seem monitored or unable to move freely
• Living where they work or in overcrowded conditions

Trust your instincts. If something feels off, don’t ignore it.
