Real talk: when was the last time you actually checked yourself?

I know, I know we’re all incredibly busy and it’s the easiest thing to push to the bottom of the to-do list. But knowing your body can quite literally save your life. Early detection is everything, and nobody knows what’s normal for you than you.

It takes less than 5 minutes. Do yourself a huge favor, SAVE THIS POST AND SEND IT TO A FRIEND, and do a quick check next time you’re in the shower:

Look: Stand in front of the mirror with your hands on your hips, then with your arms up. Just check for any changes in shape, dimpling, or skin texture.

Touch: Raise one arm and use the flat pads of your middle fingers to move in small circles all the way around. Use light, medium, and firm pressure. Don't forget your armpits and all the way up to your collarbone!

Repeat lying down: It flattens the tissue out and makes it way easier to feel if anything is off.

What you're looking for: Any new lumps, hard knots, thickening, or changes that just weren't there last month.

Friendly reminder: If you ever do feel something new, please don’t panic! Most of the time it’s absolutely nothing, but you should always call your doctor just to be safe.
