👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

For years, real animal fur was treated as a symbol of luxury in high fashion. That idea is now officially being left behind. Prada has committed to a fur-free policy, confirming that no new Prada designs use the skins or pelts of animals.

The decision reflects a broader shift inside the luxury industry, where ethics, innovation, and public awareness are reshaping what “premium” truly means. Prada’s move recognizes growing concerns around animal suffering in the fur trade and aligns the brand with modern values without compromising creativity or craftsmanship.

Importantly, this policy applies to real animal fur only. Items made after the policy took effect are designed without fur trims, coats, or embellishments derived from animals. While older inventory produced before the decision may still exist, all new collections follow this fur-free standard.

This step sends a clear message: fashion can evolve. Luxury no longer has to come at the cost of animal lives, and progress in design can coexist with compassion. As one of the world’s most influential fashion houses, Prada’s choice adds momentum to a growing global movement pushing the industry toward a more responsible future.
