Mod+Socal Architecture

This project located in Pacific Palisades, CA is a contemporary/minimalist house, approximately 4,600 SF, characterized by clean lines and simple geometric forms. It features a multi-level structure with a combination of materials, including white stucco, travertine cladding, and natural wood accents. Large windows and glass doors are prominent, offering panoramic views of the ocean. The design incorporates a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor areas, with features such as a cantilevered pool deck and frameless glass railings that maximize the views and the buillding's connection to the surrounding natural environment.

The hillside setting for this project is a crucial aspect of the design. The house is built into the slope, taking advantage of the natural topography. The landscape is lush with greenery and native vegetation, blending the structure seamlessly into its environment. A rectangular infinity pool is strategically positioned to capitalize on the views, creating a visual extension of the living space. The landscaping features terraced steps and pathways, further integrating the house with the hillside. Overall, the design maximizes the scenic potential of the Southern California landscape while embodying a contemporary and refined architectural style.
