Seated around tables, adults and children receive bread with grateful hands, finding in that simple moment a feeling that has been hard to come by — the feeling of being cared for. Behind every person in that room is a story of loss, of displacement, and of resilience. And behind every loaf of bread placed in their hands is a community of supporters who refused to look away.
