We enjoyed Shasta Lake on a bright sunny day thanks to Bridge Bay Resort for providing us with their patio boats. The residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this special experience. New memories were created and we are all so grateful. Many thanks to the staff of Bridge Bay for accommodating us 💖☀️💖☀️💖☀️💖☀️💖 Lunch at Shasta pizza Company followed. A splendid day indeed!

Congratulations to our April Employee of the month, Edward K! He is a Jack of all trades in the front office. Admired for his welcoming smile and professionalism, his humor and helpfulness in everything, especially technological issues. The staff appreciate working with him! Thank you Edward! Moments in Bloom was the main theme for NATIONAL NURSING HOME WEEK. Oh my! What a week to be had and enjoyed by the residents, staff, and visitors. There was plenty of fun games, sensory activities, food, snacks, silliness and teamwork. A massive thank you to all the businesses which donated their services and food to help make our week special!💖🎉🙏 We are so grateful and elated to know that so many participated in each day. Thank you again!

Next week we are celebrating National Nursing Home Week! A time to enjoy with our residents and staff. The theme this year is Moments in Bloom. Slow down and Stop to smell the flowers!

Today we were visited by Happy Hooves Petting zoo out of Red Bluff! It was a nice sunny day with lots of residents and staff in attendance. We loved seeing the residents and their huge smiles hugging the animals. Thank you Lisa of Happy Hooves for blessing us with the visit. We appreciate you very much!

For March, our employee of the month is Elizabeth M! When she arrives to her job she is ready to work. She is positive and professional in her interactions with patients and staff. Staff appreciate working with her because she is helpful, reliable, and always willing to lend a hand. Thank you Liz!!!

Our first annual Classic Wheels show! It was terrific! The People’s Choice trophy for classic wheels went to Ron Lim! Thanks to all our car friends for blessing us on this gorgeous day. We also had a staff chili cookoff which was won by our DON Becky. Thank you to all the participants, residents, visitors, staff, and students for making this a wonderful day!

The Easter Egg hunt went great!!! Over 800 eggs, probably 30 + children, visitors, and residents were outside enjoying the event and the nice weather. Thank you everyone and especially a huge thanks to the Easter Bunny 🐰 🐰🥰
