UPDATE:
Sadly today HB 612, the bill that would make leaving pets in hot cars illegal, landed in a committee that is extremely hard to move out of without immense public support. Basically the bill is in trouble.

Looks like the tide might be turning. Perhaps if the courts start finding for the caretakers, the police will be forced to respond reasonably. Maybe they would even *gasp* get some training.

This is the first state law for pet restraint. We have Krum buckled up, but not the other kids. I think we might be looking into some restraints for the girls.
