It is 9:30pm on the East Coast, about 5 days since rampaged across the Southeast US. Hundreds of thousands are still without power, water, nor shelter. Worse, all of those flood waters are making their way east towards the Atlantic, triggering Flood Warnings in downstream areas.

The area outside of Salemburg, NC has received an incredible 13+ inches of rain over the last 22 hours!

8:00pm EST high resolution satellite data from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) passed right over what is now TS Ophelia

Over 100,000 without power from Charlotte to Raleigh. With "rain-cooled" air temps in Raleigh around 75°F & widespread damage hindering repair efforts, the race is on to restore power before dangerously high temps, easily exceeding 92°F, on Tuesday begin to threaten life
