DAY 3: HATCH DAY!! After two solid days, our Monster Camp class is ready to pull the latex skin from the mold and and come face to face with their own original creation! Next we trim flash, strap and start the paint, fur, hair, flocking, teeth, horns- whatever the design calls for. We are in the home stretch!

Monster Camp has begun! Students from Texas, Michigan, Idaho, Ohio and Kansas joined us for the first camp of the summer season! This beginner level class starts with a full day of sculpting to get the designs right before the molding process begins tomorrow. Great job everyone! Looking forward to seeing you learn the next steps in latex mask making!

School is out but Monster Camp is in session! Tomorrow, we begin!

Closing in on this weekend of Legends of the Sea, we’re reminded that while much of the sea remains unknown, what we do know deserves our caution and respect. The monster hunters here at the Mythical Monster Museum are are equipped for anything that might be too scary for the average human. Land or sea, they know what it takes to get the job done.

Come see their collection of monsters they have so far, booth 185 just down the lane from the Kings Pub and the Rose & Crown. You might even catch a new exhibit they acquired this past week!

Gates are open at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival from 10am-7pm!
