The ideal candidate will have a background working on both small-scale and large-scale geotechnical, material testing projects. You will assist with the preparation of technical reports, specifications, plans, designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical and CMT aspects of construction. Candidate must be able to perform field inspections of geotechnical and foundation projects. Possession of a strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is essential to this position, test pits, and trenches; soil compaction testing; construction observation. He/she will be able to read and interpret grading and improvement plans and specifications; will possess good verbal and written communication skills; and will have an interest in working on a wide variety of geotechnical and civil engineering projects.
