January recap—

❌Land did not work out this time. Too much wetlands and boggy soil. It was hard to say no as the location was beautiful but I know what I need and will have to wait on the piece that fits that need.

❌Increasing the bees will need to wait till I have more space but I did attend the first Beekeeping 101 class.

✅Time is something that I’m always lacking, so I made the decision to buy a stanchion instead of building.

✅I am ahead of schedule with the new garden beds! I have them up and have started to fill them!

Day one of 2022 is done! I did my annual trip to Costco and Trader Joe’s and once again, just like the last couple years, found out that they are indeed closed on New Year’s Day. Maybe next year I’ll remember.

I’m excited to see what the next 12 months hold but for now I’m going to focus on month 1.

January tasks-goals:
☑️ close on land… what? Crossing my fingers!
☑️ determine bee equipment needs - dependent on task 1
☑️ build stanchion for goats
☑️ finish goat barn - hay storage
☑️ build level foundation for raised garden beds
