What a difference a day makes. Native habitat is lovely in the snow. Ribes Lobii ( #4)was getting ahead of itself until this weather event. Interesting, that is was reluctant to lose its leaves in fall too.

Which native plants are blooming in January? Hairy Manzanita (Arctostaphylos Columbiana) is right on time to feed this adorable hummingbird ❤️. Grindelia integrifolia | Willamette Valley Gumweed and Gaillardia aristata | Blanket Flower trying to get a few more blooms with limited success, but I admire their tenacity.
