My days in India are coming to an end and as they do, I am attempting to stay present and yet begin to mentally prepare for the shift back to a life which feels more familiar and yet will be seen with a fresh perspective and a renewed sense of gratitude.

I would be honored to have you join me for two late summer events:

The next virtual Morning Immersion will be centered around the element of earth—the element of late summer. Not only will our practices together be grounding and centering, we will be examining the earth element mythically, philosophically, and through embodied practices to foster a relationship of reciprocity and social responsibility.

The second weekend of September will be a two night retreat in Yachats, OR. This is the first retreat that I will be offering since the start of the pandemic and I would be absolutely thrilled to have you join myself and my beloved—Casava Catering—for this joyous event!

More information and registration can be found through the link in my bio.

For the latest news about upcoming events, I have a newsletter if you wish to sign up. 💕

Today was the last morning with my family. Last stop together was the in Mumbai. What an epic journey we have been on over these last 3.5 weeks—we have seen and experienced so many things together, that kind of bond runs deep!

I’m solo for my last week. Flew to Rishikesh this afternoon and the second pic is view from my balcony. Feeling deeply grateful for each and every moment.

About to leap off to India 🇮🇳 for more study with my M.A. program. The month will be dedicated to studying the Jain faith. All very exciting and yet I’m being realistic that it is going to be intense in every way.

Also wanted to start spreading the word that retreats are back!

Virtual Summer Solstice Practice ~ Tuesday, June 21, 6:15 AM 7:45 AM

The solstice is always a ripe time to honor change, to honor where you have been over the last six months and where you are going in the coming six months. The solstice provides the opportunity for us to consider the bigger picture of what we are building collectively and cooperatively together.

We may still feel the winds of uncertainty swirling all around us which can create tremendous disorder for our nervous system and mind. However, this is a potent time to be alive as the collective energy has shifted in unfathomable ways. This provides us the ability to transform and transcend limited versions of ourselves and societal oppressive and inequitable systems.

We are being called to heal our hearts and face our shadows in order to facilitate the healing of the global divides which are creating chaos and imbalance throughout the world. We are right here, right now for a good reason and we are being called back to our inner connectedness which requires us to be grounded. Being grounded allows us to connect to our ancestors and to Earth.

For tomorrow’s virtual Summer Solstice practice we will bow to the sun and ground into Earth through a balanced Hatha practice. Our time together will ritualize the day and provide an opportunity to carve out a path of inherent meaning for the coming six months. A path where genuine life purpose can be revealed and pave the way for us to offer our own natural gifts to a world in need of healing and renewal.

Dear Friends,

For the last several months I have collaborated with a few members of my cohort from a program called Yoga, Mindfulness & Social Change. Over the last 10 months of the program we have had a wide range of presenters speaking on many complex issues which intersect with Yoga.

A few of us decided to work together and attempt to express some of the issues that we view as eclipsing what we are referring to as capital “Y” Yoga vs little “y” yoga. And there is one entity at the top of chain that holds a tremendous amount of power but uses misleading language as to the role that they play in the yoga “industrial complex” and that is Yoga Alliance.

Instead of calling YA out we are attempting to call them, as well as the rest of the community, into a conversation about shaping a better future for Yoga.

You can follow the link in my bio to our letter which I’ve posted on the “schedule” page of my website. We would be grateful for you to take a few minutes to read it and if it resonates with you please sign and share any comments.

Thank you!
