In astrology, the planet Mars is associated with the Roman god by the same name & the Greek god Ares. Ares, however, was born out of anger & spite and when wounded, fell to the “ground screaming and crying like ten thousand men.” Roman Mars, by contrast, was accompanied by his squires Honos (Honour) and Virtus (Virtue)—and was elevated in the pantheon above even Jupiter. Unhealthy aggression is petty, reckless, brutish, and abuses power. Healthy aggression is the steadfast drive in living matter to express itself and achieve independence.
Anger & wrath are not the same.
As we collectively and personally prepare to undergo birth by fire (new moon in Aries on April 17), pause to consider this distinction. Tomorrow, Mars comes home to Aries & the fiery energy intensifies as we move towards the Aries New Moon on April 17 with a super stellium in this first sign of the zodiac.

Why are we all harkening back to 2016? The situation is this:
1) In 2016, we were introduced to the lunar nodes in Leo and Aquarius. In mid/late July 2026, we meet again—except switch the script bc back then, the North Node was entering Leo while the South Node was in Aquarius. This year, the opposite occurs with the hungry head of Rahu in Aquarius (people power) while the Ketu tail releases some Leo themes (leaders).
Will the total solar eclipse on August 12 in the sign of Leo deliver some down-with-the-king energy? Who else finds it interesting that the path of totality crosses over Greenland… 🇬🇱
2) Today’s New Moon in Capricorn, the first of the year, is potent for planting seeds that require dedicated, disciplined heavy lifting over a consistent period of time. 🐜 🐜 🐜
We’ll see the accompanying Capricorn Full Moon six months from now (June 29) just as the lunar nodes of fate heat up. Whatever your intentions are—be in it to win it, champs.
3) Why hasn’t Jupiter in its exaltation of Cancer been rainbows & lollipops lately? Partly bc this Cap szn has been dominated by tense Chiron squares activating pain points both personally & collectively. In 2026, Chiron will make a brief but notable ingress into Ta**us from June 19 - September 17. What harm we are tending to now will likely receive some salve come summer.
For now, Cap instructs us to chop wood and carry water, then an Aquarius stellium invites innovation, people power and revolution.💥
