Did you know that I’m also a bridal stylist?
No only do I plan weddings and make coffee, but I also get to help people find their dream dress for their big day!

Here are a couple pro tips for when you are going dress shopping!

1. Bring the right underwear! Whatever you are thinking of wearing on your big day, bring that with you. If you aren’t sure, bring n**e!
2. Shoes! Bring your wedding shoes or something of a similar height to your appointment.
3. Clean/styled hair and makeup! This one may seem silly, but how do you typically feel when you have a greasy head of hair and yesterdays makeup? I personally feel like a potato sack. Clean hair and face or a similar look to your wedding look will help you really envision your day. Especially if you want to look at veils!
4. Inspo! Having inspiration photos really helps your stylist pick dresses for you to try on that you will really love.
5. Positive Attitude/guests! Go into your appointment with an open mind. If you are in a bad mood, you are going to feel bad in the dresses. This goes for you guests too! If you are bringing someone that is going to talk down to you, or is going to rain on your parade, you aren’t going to have a good time.

One major thing to remember in this planning process is that it’s okay to do things on your own or even uninvite someone to an appointment or event. This is a really special but also really stressful time. Dealing with someone else’s problems or opinions is not worth your mental health.

Who's ready for some vaccinated wedding hugs??

I have always been a big hugger, and with COVID, it has been hard to meet up with friends, family, clients, coworkers, and not be able to give them a hug hello, or good bye. And I CAN WAIT until all of this is actually over.
