The Imani Project matches children from Kenya's eastern coastal region with international sponsors. Children that are orphaned, in dire need, or HIV+ are available to be sponsored. A gift of $35/month provides food and support for the child and his or her host family. Please consider sponsoring 6 year old Kitu.
Kitu and her two siblings live with their grandmother in Moi Village. Her father left the family a year ago and her mother died of lung cancer in March 2022. Her grandmother makes mats and baskets and sells them to try to cover her grandchildren’s needs. The family is in need of food, school fees and other basic needs. Pendo Masha Karisa
Girl, 7 years old

Pendo and her two siblings live with their grandmother in Moi Village. Their father died of a heart attack and their mother lives elsewhere and is not allowed to be part of their lives. Pendo is in class one at Kibokoni Primary School. The grandmother is unable to provide enough for the family. The children are malnourished. They need help for food, school fees and other basic needs.
