The Lana Sage

I went home out of literal nowhere at the beginning of the September. I did some things.

- fed too many alpacas to count
- saw my great grandma for the first time in 5 years (not pictured)
- went on many a hike (but not nearly enough)
- cut my hair (finally)
- made caramel from scratch, and thus, made caramel apples (without a candy thermometer or too, so be impressed)
- met my niece (also not pictured)
- tried to find hope
- saw SO MANY ROCKS (but only 2 pictures because I doubt anyone wants to see a full carousel of only cool rocks but I say these rocks are SO COOL??? I can relay so much more information about the volcanos of central Oregon now)

I wouldn’t say depression was “cured” by this trip, but it was definitely worked with. There’s nothing like the mountains. Stick to the end to cure your depression 😉

A little over a year ago, I started accidentally writing my memoir: an open letter to the dad that would never read it. It was always called Father’s Day.

A year ago, the weekend after Father’s Day, my sister, who I celebrate Father’s Day with, visited me in Boston. We got a tattoo together and went to Salem and a museum. But we also learned that my dad had died the week before. Father’s Day weekend.

My first thought was literally “what an interesting ending to my book.”

And it is. After year of numbness, weird grief, and change later, I’m on my 5th round of edits of Father’s Day, my memoir.

Ok yes Yerma did just close and it would make sense to post about that rn BUT I HADN’T FINISHED MY REWIND IN ORDER… So next is my final acting show at BU, the premiere of One Penny Down by Kirsten Greenidge!!!!! I could not be prouder to say that I was in the first full-production of a play by Kirsten Greenidge 🥰🥳
