Mommy Diary —

Today I realized something.

Hindi na baby ang baby ko.

Nauutusan na siya.
Marunong na sumunod.
Kaya na gumawa ng maliliit na bagay on her own.

And while I was watching her,
bigla kong na-feel yung isang tahimik na kurot sa puso.

Hindi lungkot.
Hindi takot.

Parang… realization lang.

Motherhood is not just about raising a child.
It’s about slowly letting go of every version of them that once needed you for everything.

Yung dating hawak kamay ko palagi,
ngayon kaya na maglakad nang hindi lumilingon.

I prayed for this independence.
But no one told me
it would feel this bittersweet.

Ang bilis mong lumaki.
And I’m so proud of you.

Kahit minsan namimiss ko pa rin
yung dating ikaw. 🤍

Yung proud ka… pero may konting kurot sa puso habang lumalaki sila?
