Notary Ceramics

Ten years in, and Sarah continues to move closer to her creative vision.

For the past year, she has been quietly working on a very special project: a collection of hand-thrown porcelain lighting. A natural extension of her pottery practice, these pieces explore the warmth, softness, and glow that porcelain can bring into a space.

To photograph the collection, we returned to Sarah’s hometown of Helvetia, Oregon, spending the day in a barn built in the 1800s. The setting felt inseparable from the work itself. Rooted in history, shaped by hand, and connected to the landscape that helped form her creative perspective.

The collection was captured by our beloved Kris LeBoeuf, who has been alongside Sarah since the earliest days of Notary. Watching their work evolve together over the last decade has been something special. Their shared commitment to craft, beauty, and thoughtful storytelling continues to shape how Notary is seen and experienced.

As we celebrate ten years, this collection feels like a reflection of everything that has brought us here, and a glimpse of what is still to come.
