My grandparents and my abuelita have played such a huge role in my life. The past week has been hard, but I also know a life’s worth of memories and lessons don’t go away just because someone isn’t physically here with us anymore. The love will always be there and I feel immensely grateful that I got to spend all the time with my grandma as I did. She taught me how to cook, how to sew, how to be strong and polite. She always told me how special I was to her pretty much every time I saw her, and that because I was born she moved to the United States to be here with my mom and dad to be there for me and kedoe and my other cousins. Larsen and i got married on my grandparents anniversary without even realizing it. Two months ago we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and my grandparents celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary! Cheers to following in my beautiful abuelitas footsteps!!
