Fly Free Patty.
We sure had fun and made the most of it when we could.
I am grateful to have ran a bit wild with you when we were younger. Your drive for life was intoxicating. The experience of balancing the finer things in life searching for golden hearts and memories worth remembering. From back yard punk rock parties, swing dancing the night away at rockabilly gigs, to convention shenanigans, diving shipwrecks in the gulf to blasting around the Everglades in search of alligators and butterflies. We took some trips! And shared some laughs.
Even some heart breaking times together.
It’s been a long while since last we connected.
Really sorry for that. Thankful to Judy for sharing updates on her visits with you.
Sad to read of your passing.
But I know you were too free spirited to be held down long.
Til’ we meet again.
Love always.
My condolences to Fip, the Avalon crew, your closest friends and other family members.

ps.
Thank you for the door you kicked open for the rest of the grrrls to come through. You did more than most to elevate a seat at the table for all of us.

Old and new pals.
Decades of stories spill out like popped water beds recently trampled on by feral cats.
Finished up two paintings this past week and got two more to go. With this bunch.
Having fun translating odd camera catches into paint and imprinting the effects onto my brain. Hopefully.
My mantra after too much focus. Loosen up.
Everything is questionable these days.
Memories are getting a bit fuzzy.
Maybe they always were.
It’s always been the moral of the story for me.
Not the names involved, the dates or the times.
What did I get from that interaction?
What did I learn?
Was there any meat on the bones to savor?
Were there memories worth remembering?
Human interactions seem to be my greatest challenge. Most are good. Some are awful.
To not get caught up in the story lines.
Not get caught up as a stand in or worse, in someone’s else’s ill played theater.
Past the hubris of it all.
Just got no time to support anything that lacks substance. No fake it til you make it’s.
It’s always been “work hard and make it happen”.

Thankful to be seen. Thankful to be loved.
Grateful for this one human precious life experience.
