Bushcraft is the study of skills that our ancestors have used to survive and thrive in nature for 1,000s of years. To begin the Bushcraft Series at Kindness Farm, we will be starting with the most basic of skills: making cordage from natural fibers! Using materials foraged within the Johnson Creek Watershed, participants will learn basic processing techniques, twisting of fibers, and how to braid cordage to increase its tensile strength.

🌞 This event will take outdoors at Kindness Farm. https://events.humanitix.com/bushcrafts-cordage-and-braids

Guilds are a staple in permaculture that create their own self-stabilizing ecosystems and maximize how many plants you can fit into a small space. Learn all about guilds, including the seven partners, common guild plants, and important considerations to foster a healthy and inclusive plant ecosystem. After you’re finished with the workshop, participants will be invited to take a look through Kindness Farm’s seed library!

🌻 EVENT DETAILS: https://events.humanitix.com/sound-bath-with-jayanika

This is an invitation to slow down and reconnect, with the earth, with yourself, and with the wisdom of your body. Let the tones of crystal singing bowls, birdsong and unfurling blossoms meet you in a gentle, restorative sound experience.

This heart-centered sound bath, rooted in Loving-Kindness practice, weaves together poetry, somatic exploration, sound, and sensory abundance of the farm. Together, we’ll create space to soften, listen inward, and cultivate a felt sense of being held by the earth.

No prior experience is required. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, or anything else that supports a comfortable lying-down practice.
