Providence Portland is introducing new safety measures to help make our hospital the best place to give and receive care.
ποΈ Starting July 8, 2026:
β’ The main entrance will be open 5 a.m.β6 p.m.
β’ The cancer center entrance will be open 5 a.m.β6 p.m.
β’ The emergency department entrance will remain open 24/7
All other entrances will be for caregivers only, including the skybridge from the Glisan parking garage.
β‘οΈ What to expect:
β’ Security screening is now in place at all public entrances. Please allow a few extra minutes when arriving.
β’ Weapons, illegal drugs and ma*****na are not permitted.

β»οΈ Save the date: Styrofoam collection returns June 27 β»οΈ
After an overwhelmingly successful January event β collecting five truckloads of Styrofoam and keeping it out of landfills β Providence is hosting its next FREE collection day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27.
