Allergies acting up? This could be the reason why! The Portland area has been experiencing a dry winter spell which has caused a "false spring" and for trees to subsequently release pollen. Additionally, the lack of rain means less natural cleansing of the air, allowing allergens like dust, mold spores, and pollen to linger longer than usual.

Dry conditions can also irritate sinuses and make allergy symptoms feel worse. Even if you don’t usually suffer from allergies, you might notice increased sneezing, coughing, watery or itchy eyes, or sinus congestion and headaches.

What you can do:
✔ Use a humidifier at home to add moisture to the air.
✔ Keep windows closed.
✔ Dust and vacuum regularly to keep allergens at bay.
✔ Stay hydrated to combat dryness.
