As we wrap up another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to thank every employee across PIISD for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to our students. From our teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, nurses, bus drivers, custodians, nutrition service staff, maintenance crews, office personnel, administrators, security officers, and every employee in between—your role makes a difference in the lives of our students every single day.

It truly takes a team effort to help our students succeed, and your impact does not go unnoticed.

Now it’s time to enjoy a well-deserved summer break. Take time to rest, recharge, spend time with family and friends, take that vacation you’ve earned, and enjoy every moment. Come back refreshed, re-energized, and ready for another amazing year of serving our students.

Congratulations to the seniors on winning tonight’s Powder Puff football game! What an awesome night full of energy, competition, and school spirit! 💙🏈

A huge thank you as well to Butch Martinez and Ray Martinez for volunteering their time to officiate the game, and thank you to Gualberto for doing an amazing job announcing the game and keeping the crowd hyped! Your support and dedication helped make tonight a huge success.

Congratulations to all the 8th graders on your graduation! What a packed house and an atmosphere full of energy from start to finish! The decorations looked amazing, the students brought incredible excitement, and it was truly an awesome graduation ceremony. Wishing all of you the best as you begin your next chapter at high school. Keep making Port Isabel proud!

Tonight was truly a special moment, and I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported me during my swearing-in ceremony. Your support, encouragement, and belief in me means more than words can express.
I would also like to thank my fellow board trustees. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue striving to make PIISD an amazing district for our students, teachers, staff, and community.

This is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. Let’s continue working together for the future of our Tarpons!

This Tuesday, May 12 at 5:30PM, I will officially be sworn in as your PIISD School Board Trustee at the Port Isabel High School Library.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who supported me, believed in me, and stood by my side throughout this journey. This victory belongs to all of us, and I’m truly honored for the opportunity to serve our students, staff, parents, and community.
