Filigree Cake Design

🥇Gold award, 1st place at SoFlo this year!
It’s been a slow and steady climb but I’ve finally made it to the top. The theme was The Ocean so I made an “underwater scene” of The Lost City of Atlantis. Most of the decorations are either piped or painted.

This piece was out of my comfort zone but I pulled it off and the judges loved it!! They praised the cobblestone board, hand painted birds and the unique stone effect I “invented”.😊
