Congratulations to Claremont Graduate University DrPH student Juanita Preciado-Becerra and PhD student Bree Hemingway who were awarded the 2020 Healthy Living Grant by the City of Hope to conduct participatory action research on community gardens and their contribution to socioecological resilience during .

Videos will be produced to highlight community gardens throughout The City of Pomona to promote their use and disseminate knowledge on urban farming.

They received the grant with their advocacy group Pomona Environmental Advocacy for Community Health (PEACH) 🍑 formed through a collaboration along with other Pomona natives, SCGH PhD student Lucie Leung Gurung, DrPH student Alfredo Villegas and SCGH alumni, Kim Morones and Hannah Petersen.
