Don’t get it twisted—my kids have clean clothes.
Drawers full of them. Laundry folded and waiting.

But our home is where we chill.
Where the rules ease up.
Where the outfits don’t matter and comfort wins.

Here, the kids run feral—
sticky popsicle fingers, messy hair, bare bellies, and giggles that shake the walls.
Here, they’re free.
Here, I’m free too—free from the pressure to make everything look perfect.

The world will see them dressed.
But home? Home is for diaper-only dance parties and couch forts.
For chaos and comfort.
For letting childhood be loud, wild, and real.

And one day, I’ll miss the sound of their little feral feet smacking across the floor,
the clutter, the chaos,
and the beauty of this season that only looks messy to the outside world.
