I’ve been teaching a beginner bass class at the Calliope: The Pittsburgh Folk Music Society School of Folk Music, and next Thursday some of those students are taking the stage for the first student showcase in over a decade.

It’s been really fun watching these groups come together, and I’m excited to see them share what they’ve been working on. If you’re around, come check it out. It’s a great snapshot of the music and community Calliope has been building in Pittsburgh for 50 years.
