Networkers Hockey

Networkers has indeed undergone some significant changes. For several combined reasons, this is now a pick up where we pay ahead of time. Situation has it that someone named Bob is running it (Likeable guy who's trying to save the time slot) and he wants $150.00 from people either next weekend (Yes the plan is to play Labor Day weekend) or Sunday the 8th. This payment would pay for the ice through December. Works out to about $13.00 per session. This is a tough one here. But dwindling and inconsistent participants, combined with the Rink raising rental rates, has put us in this position. Or the slot is lost and given up. If you cannot make a session, you would then find a sub and you two can work out payment. So this has gone from a pick-up where you can drop in to a pick-up you have reserved ahead of time. Numbers have been alarmingly low for the last two outings. I am talking 4 skaters, 5 skaters. I know Leagues have started and unfortunately they play on Sunday evenings, but if you are interested in a skate to keep skills fresh, come out! Bring a friend. Pick ups are infamous for having bad ice times, inconsistent goaltending, people who won't pass. All these gripes are wiped aside with Networkers! 8:40, Sundays, Cranberry, 2 goalies every time (okay, sometimes 3).
