Hello Friends!
I want to remind you today of the truth that what God says, He does! This is true of everything He says. Whatever God says in His Word is certain. Whatever He wills– always comes to pass. “So shall My Word be that goes out from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Isa.55:11

How many times have we made a promise to someone and failed to keep it? We get sick, or something goes wrong with the car, we forget, or we simply decide “I don’t want to do it.”

As humans we sometimes say one thing and yet do another, for all kinds of reasons. But God! Every promise God makes comes to pass. He would cease to be God if He failed to keep His Word. God keeping His Word is His very nature. It is Who He is as God. Because He is God, He cannot fail to do all that He says.
This gives me incredible confidence when I pray His Word. His Word is truth! It is action! It is life! So people! We have got to stay in God’s Word, so that we know what He promises and so that we can pray and see results!

One of our family’s favorite memories happened before we moved to Mexico, when we lived on the CA border. Someone donated a lovely, very large, working organ to our ministry. We asked several of our pastor friends in Mexico if they would like the instrument. Pastor Ricardo was thrilled! He excitedly said he would love to have it for his church. He said he would be over soon to pick it up.

The organ was so large, we couldn’t fit it in our home. So the only place for it was on our back patio right in front of the kitchen window. Well, about 3 weeks later, Debbie is getting pretty tired of it blocking our light.

One morning, she marched out to the organ and shouted loudly, “I am saying to this organ mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ I am not doubting in my heart. But I believe that what I say is going to take place, and it will be done for me in Jesus’ name! For I know whatever I ask for in prayer, and believe that I receive it, -it will be given to me!”

Then she left to do some grocery shopping. She was gone about an hour. When she laid bags of groceries on the kitchen counter, she noticed right away all the light in the kitchen. She whooped and ran outside! Mount organ was gone! Just a few minutes after she had left Pastor and his son came and loaded up the organ to pass over into Mexico!

Coincidence? No way! God had made Debbie a promise in Mark 11:23-24, she declared it with faith, and He performed His Word for her!

Dear friend, as you read God’s word, as you read the statements God makes about you, as you read His promises for you in Christ, as you read His declarations about Who He is and what He has done, know that whatever God wills always comes to pass. What He says is the same as what He does. Rejoice and give thanks to your promise making and promise keeping God!

How blessed we are, to be loved by our mighty God! Recently I heard the Crowder Band sing “How He Loves”, and I was humbled and blown over anew by His great love for us!
I love the thought that God is jealous for me. Ex. 34:14 “Do not worship any other god, for the Lord...is a jealous God.” This refers to people choosing to love some other “god” more than Him. Whatever we love most becomes our “god”, be it money, comfort, prestige, or any other idol. But, we were made by Him, for Him. Therefore, no thing else is worthy of being number one in our lives. No thing else can bring us lasting happiness and fulfillment.
God’s love for each one of us, individually, is strong; enduring. It makes sense to compare God’s love to a storm- “Love’s like a hurricane”. Jer.51:16, “When He thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from His storehouses.” His love for us, for YOU, is powerful! Even when we are going through things that make us wonder– His love endures! It will get you through anything!
God’s love for us is immense! It is immeasurable! It is eternal. “If His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking”. Eph 3:17-19 “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge– that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
I urge you, my friends, to take some time to meditate on God’s love for you. Let it surround you. Let it minister to you. Let it comfort you. Let it guide you. Let it change you.
“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” I John 3:1
