More often than I’d like to admit, I find myself waking up with my phone already in my hand and scrolling at night to “decompress.” It’s a habit that tends to get worse when I’m stressed, yet it ultimately adds to that stress. That cycle is exactly why I created these journals.

There have been seasons of my life when I was waking up early, getting a workout in, and checking everything off my list. But recently, in this season of new motherhood, those routines have changed. My mornings begin by feeding my daughter, and my days quickly fill with caring for her and tending to the needs of our business before my own.

The truth is, I don’t have time for an elaborate routine anymore. I have 20 minutes.

And I’ve realized those 20 minutes are essential to my mental health, creativity, and sense of self. These journals helped me see that. They helped me reclaim the small pockets of time that quietly shape both my today and my tomorrow.
